“Good Buy! Cruel World”

The largest show of Mike’s career is at Vashon Center for the Arts this November. On display will be new “Trash Talking” works, “Real Life” action figures and more in the dark humor realm of consumer satire. A one-person bizarre by KING-5’s “Vashon Man” will hypocritically descend on the shopping season with over 200 hand-crafted pieces to buy. Mike’s infamous cardboard shoes will also show with works from his “Art Army”, “King Cuts” and “Empire Peaks”. More square footage of exhibition space has never been devoted to Mike’s work. It’s home turf, and much will be made of the sappy holiday timing. Think Tiffany gift shop, corporate ephemera, tree ornaments, good times, bad times, the doom to come, and golden oldies to remember. Come to the island to swim in it all.
